I was originally supposed to do my work experience at Clarks Village shoe shop but due to the pandemic this was cancelled so I did my work experience here at the Geeky Gamer. this shop sells merchandise and consumable goods

Street Library

I did 2 1/4 days of work experience at the library doing a selection of things like fixing and using a 3D printer, providing tech support, helping find recourses for the summer reading challenge and their 3D pen event they do, as well as volunteering to set up and run the library's Nintendo switch club

Skechers

I have learned a variety of skills in my job including till systems, shop inventory, shelf stacking, pricing, advasing customers on the right type of product based on the requirements. I have also worked a variety of shifts inculding opening, closing, mid day and delivery

IBM WORKSOP

For 2 weeks my college underwent a workshop with IBM (International Buisness Machines), teaching soft and employability skills to help us progress into the workplace. Some of these include: Interview skills, Teambuilding skills, Presentation skills, Adaptability and creative thinking. There is more information about this on my "IBM Workshop page".

I am incrediably gratefull that Strode college and IBM could team up to provide what would describe as a verry influential 2 weeks on our college course and

McColl's/
Morrisons

During my time at McColl's/Morrisons Daily, I would Fill the shelves, Take inventory, Unpack the deliveires, Sell a multitude of products from Bacon to Vodka and Monster Energy to Tobacco, Mark down items, Oberve the cashing up during closing, Exchange money for stamps & Clean the store as we closed

During my time at CEX, I would mainly do closing shifts due to working around college. However I would work the till, process new stock, put said stock out, do a face up of the shop (tidying the shelves) and closing the shutters
